Everything was spot-on from the very beginning. Communication via WhatsApp prior to the rental was excellent. Both the car handover and the subsequent drive went smoothly; the vehicle was well-maintained and in good condition. A definite plus was the detailed explanation of local traffic rules. The staff were very helpful and also recommended a good, affordable parking spot near the very center of Funchal.
I definitely recommend it.

We were able to rent a car spontaneously and easily without a credit card. Pick-up and drop-off were hassle-free, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The Seat Arona was in excellent condition. We generally recommend a slightly taller car for Madeira. Automatic transmission was definitely the right choice.

We would definitely choose Giralsol again!

I highly recommend this company for car rentals. The communication was excellent, everything was incredibly fast. As soon as we arrived at the airport, they were waiting for us with the car we had reserved ready. They gave us all the necessary instructions, and returning the car was also super easy and quick. Thank you for your services. I am very satisfied by your reactivity and clear explanations and the service you provided with the car rental. I rented on the last minute and even the car available was a small one, it was a new model, fully automatic and powerfulll enough to take us to the main mountain attractions. It was perfect. This was the best car rental experience I’ve ever had. I contacted them via WhatsApp and got a very quick response. We agreed on the terms in no time, they sent me a link to pay the deposit, and everything was very transparent and straightforward.
When I arrived in Madeira, I went to pick up the car and the whole process took literally 2 minutes. What impressed me the most was that their €15/day insurance covers all risks, so I could drive completely stress-free. I didn’t have to worry about having a large amount of money blocked on my card, my card details being charged later, or having to deal with unexpected charges and spend weeks arguing about things that never happened. None of that happened here.
The lady working there was extremely nice and friendly. She explained everything clearly and, most importantly, didn’t try to upsell or pressure me into anything.
Returning the car was just as easy and straightforward as picking it up.
I’m genuinely impressed with this experience. Absolutely 10/10 - highly recommended!
