Excellent service! Everything was very convenient and quick, from picking up the car to returning it at the airport. The car was very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The contact was very polite, the car was ready on time, and the vehicle itself was the best I've ever had from a rental company in a southern country. I would recommend an automatic car to everyone on Madeira. While it's a disadvantage not being able to use engine braking downhill, you definitely appreciate it going uphill! It was a very good experience, and I recommend that anyone staying in Caniço de Baixo reserve a car in advance with Girassol!

Good, friendly folks run this business. They have local recommendations and accommodated our impromptu after-hours pickup due to a flight cancellation and subsequent rerouting. The car we got was great and in great condition. Perfect for the island highways. Would rent from them again!

Great experience renting car here! We had Mazda 2 (2025) which was super fun and easy to ride for a week in Madera. Car was freshly cleaned and in perfect condition with only 34K of mileage. The process of taking the car and returning it was very easy and without stress at all. I highly recommend this car rent!

I highly recommend this car rental company. The prices are quite reasonable. They offer a pick-up and drop-off service right at your accommodation, which is great if you need it in Funchal. We had two issues, and they resolved them immediately, assisting us within an hour. Overall, excellent.
