We’ve got a cute Renault Clio in blue and we enjoyed every day with it. First you don’t need to leave a huge deposit with the full insurance, second all the people in the company are amazing. Thanks to Alberto who did the booking for me without any hustle and brought car for the pick up to the airport, thanks to Louisa who woke up early for our drop off and also Sofia who was always helpful online with any questions. The best experience, highly recommend!

We chose this smaller, pleasant company and have no regrets. Despite some minor language difficulties on our part, everything was handled to our complete satisfaction. The car—a Mazda 2 Hybrid—was delivered even earlier than agreed; it was clean and smelled fresh. We returned it after about two days, as agreed in the contract, and everything went perfectly. I highly recommend them; the staff was friendly and helpful. They will be our number one choice next time, too. Thank you, Petr.

I booked with Girassol at short notice on-site because of the good reviews, and it was well worth it. The excellent service and very friendly staff deserve special mention. The booking process was also fantastic. Finally, the price was very fair, and the cars (we had two) were very good, clean, and perfectly suited to the conditions on Madeira. Highly recommended.

Had a great experience with GIRASSOL in Madeira! The whole rental process was really easy, and the car was clean, comfortable and reliable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was explained clearly. I would definitely recommend getting the full comprehensive insurance. The roads in Madeira can be very narrow, especially when exploring some of the more remote areas, so knowing you’re covered for external damage makes the whole experience much less stressful and means you can enjoy your trip without worrying about every little scratch or scrape. Having a rental car made exploring Madeira so much easier, and I would definitely use GIRASSOL again. Highly recommend!
