🏁 About the Mountain Biking Race

Trans Madeira offers five days of unforgettable racing, where participants tackle some of the most diverse and scenic trails on the planet. The race route covers all corners of Madeira—North, South, East, and West—starting from mountain peaks and finishing by the ocean shore.

Riders will cover over 220 kilometers of trails, divided into 30 special stages. Each day promises to be unique: changing landscapes, breathtaking views, and the island’s most iconic single tracks. All of this makes the race not just a competition, but a true adventure. Trans Madeira is open to both professional athletes and enthusiasts eager to explore the island on two wheels.

🚵‍♀️What Awaits the Participants in the Race?

The average race day includes 3,200 meters of descent and 1,250 meters of ascent, as well as 4 to 7 special stages. Some days will feature shuttle assistance, allowing participants to cover even more trails and maximize their enjoyment of the race. Overall, the event spans 220 km of trails over 5 days, taking place in the most scenic spots of Madeira.

Known as the “Pearl of the Atlantic,” Madeira will delight racers with its incredible landscape diversity. Each stage of the race will bring unique experiences, as if you are riding through different countries. Forests, rocky coastlines, ocean views, and volcanic landscapes—all create stunning conditions for racing.
