We came across Girassol because we were staying at a hotel nearby and spontaneously asked about renting a car for the next 10 days. We had no reservation, but they were still able to provide us with a rental car as early as the following day. We explored the island in a red Nissan Micra with great features, including a rear-view camera, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car had a few exterior scratches and marks, but this did not bother us at all. The brakes and overall performance were excellent and the car was more than capable of handling Madeira’s roads and all the exploring we wanted to do. The service and advice were excellent and incredibly friendly. They even took the time to explain Madeira’s motorway, parking and roundabout rules to us. We have never experienced such personal, friendly and genuinely helpful advice that went beyond simply selling us a rental car. Returning the car was quick and completely hassle-free. We would definitely recommend Girassol and would happily rent a car from them again!

100% recommended. We reserved a Mazda2 Hybrid, received the car fully fueled, spotlessly clean, and in excellent condition for a rental car. Very friendly staff and excellent service, hassle-free return. 24-hour telephone hotline available for any problems. We'll definitely book with Girassol again for our next Madeira holiday! 😉👍

Very happy with the company and the car I rented! 😊 I booked the car a few months in advance. When making the reservation, I indicated a pick-up time an hour later than our actual flight arrival. But the company tracked our flight and met us on time with a sign — it was very nice! They explained everything, showed us how to use the car, so there were no problems. The car was clean and fueled. I took the Mazda 2 Hybrid — very economical, convenient and comfortable to drive. For the roads of Madeira, it is simply a great option: it easily goes uphill, takes turns well and is generally very pleasant to drive. I was very satisfied with the rental! Thank you to the company for the excellent service ❤️ I would definitely contact them again! I’m very happy with both the company and the car I rented! 😊 I booked the car a few months in advance. The communication over WhatsApp really helped everything go smoothly. We were a little late dropping off the car but there was no problems/extra fee. I can't complain, would definitely recommend. 👍
