Join the Madeira Orienteering Festival 2025: An Unforgettable Outdoor Adventure

The Madeira Orienteering Festival (MOF) 2025, from January 10th to 12th, invites participants to explore stunning landscapes through sprint or middle distance events. With stages in Palheiro Golf, Poiso, Camacha and Ponta de São Lourenço, it promotes outdoor adventure for all fitness levels.

The Funchal Montain Club is organizing the MOF within the Portuguese Orienteering Federation, being the first event of the 2025 calendar of the International Orienteering Federation (IOF). There will be three stages – 1, 2 and 4, organized by Clube de Montanha do Funchal, and the 3rd stage by Associação Desportiva da Camacha.

The MOF is a by-foot orienteering event, with a two sprint course and two middle distance races. The 1st stage is a night sprint, the 2nd stage is for the Portuguese Cup, 3rd stage will be for the Portuguese Sprint Cup and for the World Sprint Ranking (WRE), and the 4th also counting for the Portuguese Cup and for the WRE. This event is open to people of any age, who can participate in the competition categories or the open categories, individually or in a group.
