With Girassol we had the most pleasant car rental experience so far. Upon landing in Madeira, even though it was around midnight, we were met by a company employee who escorted us to the parking lot to the car. All the forms were filled in, the car in perfect condition (equipped with child seat as per our request). The whole pick-up process took less than 10 min. When handing over the car things went even smoother. We parked thecar at "departures" and by the time we unloaded the luggage the company employee came to retrieve the car. We had a Seat Ibiza, automatic gearbox, perfect for Madeirei's narrow and sloping streets. Thank you to the Girassol team, including the lady at the office who helped us on a Saturday with printing some documents 🙂

Fantastic experience with this car rental company in Madeira! The booking process was smooth, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the car was in excellent condition. Exploring the island was a breeze thanks to their reliable service. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Madeira!

As someone who has rented many vehicles over the years, I'm happy to say this experience was nothing short of delightful. Having looked at various options in Madeira, I took a chance on this one based on other reviews I'd found and popped in to the office in Canico. I was warmly greeted by a very helpful and courteous lady, who went through the options available. I collected the car the next day, an immaculately presented Seat Ibiza, which served me perfectly for the next three days. The car came full of fuel, and I simply had to return it filled to the same level, which was easily done at the local Repsol garage where the staff (like most on Madeira), spoke perfect English. The return process was simple, honest and friendly, taking only 2 minutes to check the car over. I will definitely use this company again in future visits to the island. Advisable to pre-book as undoubtedly a company with this profile will be in demand, but always worth dropping in in person even if (as was the case for me) the website suggested nothing was available. The staff have more ability to "fine tune" things to meet your needs if you're able to be a little flexible.

I can say that this was my best car rental experience in my life🙂 I often rent cars and have done it with different companies, but I have never seen such an easy and comfortable approach to customers. The process is very simple and fast, the company's workers are simply incredible people, very kind and always ready to help. No deposits, hidden scams, long contracts and other things. I received an automatic car exactly as I ordered (and not similar or like) - the car was clean in every way and well maintained. Girassol Rent is highly recommended! Renting the Renault Clio was incredibly simple and hassle-free, offering excellent value for money.I visited their branch with my driver’s license and ID card, and the friendly staff quickly found me a Renault Clio. The paperwork was handled efficiently and without unnecessary bureaucracy. Plus, I received a 20% discount due to the Black Friday week.The car was ready for pickup at 9:00 AM the following day. The Clio was clean, fully fueled, and in perfect condition. Minor scratches on the sills and fenders were documented with photos during the handover. The Clio came well-equipped with air conditioning and navigation. Despite being an automatic, it performed quite nimbly.Returning the car was just as smooth as picking it up. At the branch, I returned the car fully fueled, completed a joint inspection, and handed back the keys.Truly recommendable!Raoul Strutz

Very good and easy service when booking, picking up and returning the car. Friendly staff. Communication in English. The contract also comes via email at the same time. Vehicle with 15k km relatively new and in best condition. Can be recommended without hesitation. From the Riu Madeira about 300 m away.
