This is the second time we've rented a car from Girassol, after being completely satisfied with our first Madeira vacation. Pickup and drop-off at the airport were uncomplicated and seamless this time as well. The team is super friendly, and communication is quick and easy, even via WhatsApp. Both times, the cars were in excellent condition. I would recommend booking full insurance, so you don't even have to pay a deposit. I highly recommend Girassol and would book with them again if I come back to Madeira 🌻

We had a Seat Ibiza, it was really well maintained and clean, and by far strong enough to get us around the western island and the top of the central mountains.The service was really good, very forthcoming and friendly.I highly recommend them and would rent there again.

I rented a car for one week, and everything went smoothly. It was a brilliant experience — easy pick-up and drop-off at the airport. Communication with the company was excellent throughout. The car was almost brand new, with only 3,000 km on the odometer and an automatic transmission. We drove 1,200 km without any issues. Even on steep hills, the 1.0L engine performed well.I recommend getting full insurance, even if you’re a very careful driver. Some people drive manual cars and struggle with hills. We had a minor accident in a parking lot — someone rolled back into our car. The rental company’s response was quick and professional. No one was injured. We took some photos, described the situation, and the company handled everything.I also saw someone hit another car in the parking lot and just leave without saying anything. So save yourself the stress — go with full insurance.I would definitely recommend this company 👍

In my humble opinion the best car rental on Madera. They offer full insurance and no deposit is required which was for me very important. They offer cars with automatic gear box. I choose Seat Arona. It was a pleasure to drive all over Madera with such a car.

⸻I rented two cars from Girasol, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The team is very kind, professional, and understanding. I especially appreciated their flexibility – I returned one of the cars two hours later than scheduled, and they were perfectly fine with it, which really helped me.I had a SEAT Arona, a quiet and comfortable car. Both cars were relatively new, about two years old, and the second one had only 29,000 km on the clock – something rare and very appreciated in car rentals.Albert was especially patient and clear when explaining everything, especially the full insurance, which covered even the mirrors and tires – a big plus for peace of mind. And during the second rental, Luiza was just as helpful and friendly.I wholeheartedly recommend Girasol! A fair, transparent, friendly service – with no unpleasant surprises.

Good prices, good insurance conditions (0 deductible, full coverage).Fresh fleet, cars are clean and well-maintained.They give the car back quickly.On the third day I noticed a small scratch that was not captured on video when I started renting. I wrote to support, they honestly answered that the scratch was there before me.They give it with a full tank, which is very nice, because you don't have to look for a gas station first.

The car was a Nissan Micra, in perfect condition. You can get anywhere in Madeira, and that's saying something (-:The service was absolutely top-notch! Ideal for those staying at the RiuMadeira Hotel, as it's less than a 10-minute walk from there!

We chose this rental company because it was located near our hotel and had good reviews. There was only one BMW available at the time of rental, so we ended up renting it (price difference to e.g. Seat only 20€/day). Everything worked really well, both rental and return were smooth, and we got a few good tips e.g. regarding parking.

I reserved a Seat Arona car two months ago, paying a symbolic fee. When I arrived in Madeira, I went to the office in Canico, Seat had been in a car accident, and they offered me a more powerful BMW 216, with which we successfully visited Madeira. Thanks Girassol!

A very good experience. Easy online booking and on-site pick-up/drop-off was seamless. Only new cars with automatic transmission. This makes things easier on the steep roads in Madeira. I'd definitely go back anytime 👍🏻 🚗💨
