Festa Anual da Lapa

This edition of Machico Gastronomic Week is scheduled from July 31st to August 9th, 2026, making it one of the largest and oldest gastronomic festivals in Madeira.

Considered the municipality’s largest event, the Sea Week, taking place between the 22nd and 26th of July, features a variety of nautical activities, including traditional canoe regattas, canoeing competitions, sea games with local origin, and fishing competitions.

There is a festival on the north coast of Madeira that has been running since 1985 and has never, in any of its now 41 editions, stopped before it was supposed to.

This festival, taking place on the 24th and 25th of July, celebrates the limpet, a mollusk typical of Madeiran cuisine, and brings together locals and visitors to enjoy this traditional snack.

The 51st edition of the Bike Around Madeira will once again follow its original route, covering 232 km in six stages over five days.
