Really good service with nice cars and perfect communication. Separate thanks for the support and answering all the questions, the car was clean and in time. The roads are very steep so automatic transmission is the best choice!

From the moment I arrived, Albert and Anthony were incredibly helpful and friendly—nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Their professionalism and warm attitude made the whole process smooth and stress-free.I even needed to extend my rental, and they handled it quickly and effortlessly—no hassle at all. The reservation went smoothly. All information was provided in advance via email, and we were in contact via WhatsApp. The staff was very friendly, and the bill was explained in advance. Good prices, good insurance conditions (0 deductible, full coverage).Fresh fleet, cars are clean and well-maintained.They give the car back quickly.On the third day I noticed a small scratch that was not captured on video when I started renting. I wrote to support, they honestly answered that the scratch was there before me.They give it with a full tank, which is very nice, because you don't have to look for a gas station first.

The car was a Nissan Micra, in perfect condition. You can get anywhere in Madeira, and that's saying something (-:The service was absolutely top-notch! Ideal for those staying at the RiuMadeira Hotel, as it's less than a 10-minute walk from there!

We chose this rental company because it was located near our hotel and had good reviews. There was only one BMW available at the time of rental, so we ended up renting it (price difference to e.g. Seat only 20€/day). Everything worked really well, both rental and return were smooth, and we got a few good tips e.g. regarding parking.

Unfortunately, we can't even begin to understand the good reviews! We requested a car the day before via the car rental company's website. Unfortunately, there were problems selecting the time frame. Since we only needed the car for one day, we entered 8 a.m. as the time required, as they required a minimum of 24 hours, but we had to be at the airport the next morning.Since the rental company doesn't open until 9 a.m., we didn't think anything of it and received a call and a WhatsApp message at 8:30 a.m. stating that we had reserved a car for 8 a.m. I was then asked to send the documents in advance via WhatsApp to simplify the process.I then sent my address details, driver's license, and ID via WhatsApp, noting that we would pick up the car in about an hour.Well, unfortunately, we got a nasty surprise when we got there. We walked over 1 km to the rental company, and the car was already taken. The reservation was canceled; there was no apology or anything else, nor were there any further messages via WhatsApp.Good service doesn't look like that! At least we found a friendly car rental company just around the corner, and we even saved €40! There, we paid €50 including comprehensive insurance for a Peugeot 208; at Girassol, we would have had to pay almost €90 for a Smart FourFour!?!?I guess that's a blessing in disguise.

I reserved a Seat Arona car two months ago, paying a symbolic fee. When I arrived in Madeira, I went to the office in Canico, Seat had been in a car accident, and they offered me a more powerful BMW 216, with which we successfully visited Madeira. Thanks Girassol!

A very good experience. Easy online booking and on-site pick-up/drop-off was seamless. Only new cars with automatic transmission. This makes things easier on the steep roads in Madeira. I'd definitely go back anytime 👍🏻 🚗💨

We stayed in Caniço de Baixo. Girassol's office was right downstairs. Frankly, that's why I chose them, but on top of that it turned out to be the smoothest car rental experience I have ever had - easy and completely stress free. Their fleet is all automatic. I rented a compact white Seat Ibiza, and, looking back, I cannot think of a better car for the island. I plan to come back to Madeira, and it is definitely going to be Girassol again.

This was first experience with car rental in Madeira and Girassol truly didn't disappoint. I had no problem with car rental at all. All went smoothly, customer service is amazing. I am very grateful for the service provided by the company, thanks to you we saw all corners of the island. This was not my first rental experience and compared to the previous ones I am completely satisfied with it and the support of the employees as well, they respond quickly and the process of renting and returning the car itself takes no more than 5 minutes. The company also monitors flights and when I arrived, Rita was already waiting for me - it's so nice 🥰 🫶 We rented a brand new car with full insurance, as the roads in Madeira are quite difficult, very narrow in places and parking lots require extreme attention and experience. During the parking process, I damaged the bumper, which left deep scratches, I immediately wrote to WhatsApp, but the employees reassured me - the insurance will cover everything and I don't have to worry about it, although I was very sorry, because the car was brought to me brand new, clean and it smelled very nice. I sincerely recommend the company - the employees are truly customer-oriented and you can choose any rental option for yourself, a deposit is not required.
