I want to share my wonderful experience! It was my first driving experience abroad! And my first car rental. I'm a girl and I'm 23 years old! I'm traveling alone) When I received the Nissan Micra, I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the car! The car was like new! Both visually and in operation! They accepted the car in about 30 seconds! Very fast 👍The only thing I want to warn drivers right away so that they don't make mistakes like me - when driving down serpentines on an automatic, use the "L" mode - engine braking! Otherwise, you will encounter overheating of the brakes due to the peculiarities of the terrain of the beautiful island! 😍 and also, look in advance where you can park in the cities and where you can't, study this issue in advance, so that in fact it will be easier ☺️Now I want to share photos with this beautiful baby 🚘My experience was unforgettably cool! Take the car, it's very convenient! 😍 I can confidently recommend this car rental company!)
We booked in advance for our holiday in Caniço and it was a really good experience. The car was in very good condition, clean and well maintained. The reservation was confirmed via WhatsApp and we got a reminder a day before the reservation date. Returning the car was also fast and easy, thanks to Luísa 🙏Obrigado and see you next time!
We had already looked for a car rental company at home and booked online a few months in advance. Everything went smoothly from pick-up to drop-off! A very friendly lady. We had a Seat Arona automatic. Very clean inside... In short, we can only recommend it.

This is the second time we've rented a car from Girassol, after being completely satisfied with our first Madeira vacation. Pickup and drop-off at the airport were uncomplicated and seamless this time as well. We had a Seat Ibiza, it was really well maintained and clean, and by far strong enough to get us around the western island and the top of the central mountains.The service was really good, very forthcoming and friendly.I highly recommend them and would rent there again.

We rented a Nissan Micra automatic petrol for a week. The car was new, clean and handled corners and uphill and downhill. Louise's communication was excellent and the formalities were very smooth. I highly recommend it.

I rented a car for one week, and everything went smoothly. It was a brilliant experience — easy pick-up and drop-off at the airport. Communication with the company was excellent throughout. The car was almost brand new, with only 3,000 km on the odometer and an automatic transmission. We drove 1,200 km without any issues. Even on steep hills, the 1.0L engine performed well.I recommend getting full insurance, even if you’re a very careful driver. Some people drive manual cars and struggle with hills. We had a minor accident in a parking lot — someone rolled back into our car. The rental company’s response was quick and professional. No one was injured. We took some photos, described the situation, and the company handled everything.I also saw someone hit another car in the parking lot and just leave without saying anything. So save yourself the stress — go with full insurance.I would definitely recommend this company 👍
