Excellent service! Everything was very convenient and quick, from picking up the car to returning it at the airport. The car was very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. It was a great choice for driving around Madeira and handled all types of roads very well. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend this rental service!

The contact was very polite, the car was ready on time, and the vehicle itself was the best I've ever had from a rental company in a southern country. I would recommend an automatic car to everyone on Madeira. While it's a disadvantage not being able to use engine braking downhill, you definitely appreciate it going uphill! It was a very good experience, and I recommend that anyone staying in Caniço de Baixo reserve a car in advance with Girassol!

Good, friendly folks run this business. They have local recommendations and accommodated our impromptu after-hours pickup due to a flight cancellation and subsequent rerouting. The car we got was great and in great condition. Perfect for the island highways. Would rent from them again!

Great experience renting car here! We had Mazda 2 (2025) which was super fun and easy to ride for a week in Madera. Car was freshly cleaned and in perfect condition with only 34K of mileage. The process of taking the car and returning it was very easy and without stress at all. I highly recommend this car rent!

I had great experience renting a car for my trip! Booked in advance with only 15% paid upfront, and the rest on-site-very convenient. The car was delivered right to airport, and everything was fast and well organized.

I highly recommend this car rental company. The prices are quite reasonable. They offer a pick-up and drop-off service right at your accommodation, which is great if you need it in Funchal. We had two issues, and they resolved them immediately, assisting us within an hour. Overall, excellent.

Great experience with GIRASSOL! We especially appreciated that all the cars are automatic, which makes driving on Madeira so much easier. Even in peak season, we managed to find a car, and it was clean, well-maintained and worked perfectly throughout our trip.
The staff were also really friendly, professional and helpful. Everything was easy and stress-free. Definitely recommend GIRASSOL if you're renting a car in Madeira! 🌴
